Who is the ParticipaTIC training for ?

The ParticipaTIC training is for all people who are or interested in becoming representatives of people with disabilities. The training programme is currently available in French. The Romanian language version will be available in September 2019. It is planned to develop an English language version in the near future.

Are there any special conditions to have access to the training programme?

This training programme is open to everybody with or without educational qualifications. It is an on-line learning programme that you follow preferably using a computer or on a tablet. We recommend using the equipment with which you feel most comfortable. In order to join the training programme, please simply click on the button 'Enroll' . Please note in order to subscribe you will need to have an email address in order for your username to be created.

What will you find in the training programme ?

In June you will have access to 4 training modules :
Module 1: Understand and make others aware of the notions of disability and participation and the fundamental role of action in fighting for ones rights.
Module 2 : Understand leadership as serving the common good, notably in the field of disability
Module 3 : Understand the key issues at stake within certain fundamental articles of the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities in order to defend rights.
Module 4 : Explore a tool for evaluating the quality of access to public or private facilities in order to make proposals for their improvement
This training will allow you to improve your competencies as a leader of people with disabilities.

Is this training programme accessible ?

The site has been designed in order to make its contents accessible to the greatest number of people. In general, you will be able to navigate between the different pages on the site. Summaries of the content are also available in Easy to Read and Understand language.
An option 'Listen' will enable you to listen to what is written. This is equivalent to using text to speech software.
An option 'Contrast' allows you to access the text content through using high contrast (Texts written in yellow on a black background)
An option 'Zoom' allows you to enlarge or reduce the size of characters

Who designed this training programme

This training programme was designed within the European project 'ParticipaTIC'. This has brought together ten partners - Disabled persons organisations or training organisations from 4 countries: Belgium, France, Romania and Switzerland.
